Cowal Design is a dynamic and expanding civil and structural engineering consultancy formed in 2005, which now has 26 staff across offices in Glasgow (HQ), Edinburgh, Oban, Stornoway and London. We are committed to offering clients a personalised service; fully utilising the expertise of the company owners whose distinctive blend of designer, contractor and developer offers clients a refreshing new approach to the provision of engineering design and construction management. We benefit from inhouse survey teams who can deliver topographical surveys, site investigations, drone surveys and laser scanning feeding directly into civil and structural colleagues timeously and efficiently.

Cowal Design has worked on over 4500 projects with live commissions throughout the United Kingdom including most of the islands. We have a strategic plan to further develop and grow the business 10% year-on-year, providing national coverage from our offices. Over the last 5 years, we have exceeded this growth plan year on year. Our current expansion focus is in the central belt with many new major clients on board with a particularly bias to education, healthcare and multi-unit housing developments for many of the RSLs’, private developers and contractor developers.
